NAVIGATING ORGANIZATIONAL POLITICS

Some are affronted when they hear that every human group or organization - be it a multinational corporation, a small service shop, a scout team, a sport club, church, or family - is an arena of a struggle for influence and power. Whatever people upset by this notion might say, this is a reality. In his or her work an OD consultant considers the full spectrum of dynamics influencing organizational life, as well as things the “hidden under the surface”.

This two-day training that opens the ACODC program tackles this issue head-on. We all know it exists, but only a few know how to talk about it openly. We will learn the reasons why some projects flow effortlessly, while others seem never to gather enough time and money for their completion. We will deepen understanding of organizational politics and acquire the strategies needed to skillfully negotiate its complexities.

It is common knowledge that success in an organization is not entirely determined by one’s competences. By participating in Dr. Wolfe’s training you will be better equipped to navigate informal politics ruling your clients’ organizational systems at all levels of management.
