Why is it that some very well educated consultants barely manage in business, while others are able to make contacts, meet new clients, and obtains orders without much effort ? The answer to this question, despite appearances, is simple. The latter use two abilities which act as levers that raise all other competences. One of these levers is the ability to influence others, and the other is the ability to forge and maintain relationships.

In the deluge of information and mass online networking, the statement made above applies now more than ever before. To be able to work well with clients, develop in the work of a consultant, conduct projects, and implement changes, you must be able to use your competences to build strategic partnerships.

Research conducted in the United States in the 1980s has shown that nearly 80% of all people believed themselves to be "shy". In 2000, the same research was conducted and the result was 93%. The development of communications technology allows us to be increasingly able to "hide" behind this technology and avoid direct communication. During this training session, you will learn how to stand face to face with other people and correctly "read" what they communicate, increasing your ability to influence.

The competences to which this module pertains will certainly be of use to you also beyond the context of consulting work. You will learn to make a better first impression, talk better with people you meet for the first time, and to increase your credibility in such contacts.
