Advisio is a firm with international reach, operating mainly in Europe. By functioning as a research and development center for the consultancy sector, we devise methodologies that support Organizational Development of businesses to a standard worthy of the XXI century. The methodologies that Advisio devises are accompanied by innovative internet tools that optimize, speed up and enhance the results of systemic interventions aimed at development, conducted by consultants.

 

Advisio know-how

The concept for the firm Advisio and the firm itself came into existence in 2003 in Belgium in response to the needs of Dutch, German and French service providers and retail chains to find new ways to manage development of human potential. Since the moment of its inception it has not been possible to classify Advisio as belonging to one type of firm within the business environment: although it has worked on the production of software it has not been a typical IT firm; although it has provided consultancy and training services - it has not operated as a training and consultancy firm; although it has devised new concepts and methodologies - it has not become a research facility; although it has been located in a specific country (initially in Belgium and currently in Poland) - it has mainly carried out projects outside of Poland. Since the beginning Advisio has been a firm customized to meet the needs of the 21st century: a global and modern firm combining the vital components of an organization of the future: know-how, technology, and human potential. Integrating these aspects helps a firm to attain greater maneuverability, flexibility and efficiency needed to stay ahead of the competition in today's economic climate.

The unique blend of IT, consulting and R&D skills means that together we can produce fascinating personnel potential diagnosis and development projects, comprising: implementation of innovative skill management systems, providing support for management processes through the goals, diagnosis of the organizational climate, devising and implementing integrated HRM strategies, etc. Public institutions have also joined Advisio’s clients, among them the National Bank of Poland and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. Development interventions carried out in the course of Advisio’s projects have given the organization’s employees a new, more systemic and strategic look at their own work and its quality and goals. Managers at one of our Western clients say “Let’s do Advisio!” every time there is a major change in their firm and when the need arises for strategic dialogue at all management levels.

 

Methodological-tool base

As of 2009 Advisio no longer offers direct consultancy services to organizations, it makes its tools available for consultancy and training firms around the world, serving as their methodology and tool base. It is due to this position in the supply chain that Advisio does not compete with its consultancy and training firms in which their managers and employers have already placed their trust. No software needs to be purchased, and no costly implementation processes usually associated with IT systems need to be carried out to make use of Advisio tools. When they order services from our suppliers that are performed using Advisio methodology and tools they purchase processes, not tools. These processes are put into operation in their entirety by consultancy firms: consultants send the client’s employees questionnaires online, process the responses, generate reports giving the findings, and conduct the relevant workshops and training sessions accompanying the entire process. For organizations making use of those services the Advisio tools become synonymous with light technologies. The only problem they report is the difficulty in finding justification for the expenditure incurred beforehand and the implementation of extensive IT systems with a functionality similar to the Advisio tools. Maintenance of these systems continues to absorb them operationally and requires long-term outlays for servicing and operation.

Partners also point out the advantages of the certification programs that Advisio offers. This means that trainers that up to now have concentrated mainly on shaping particular skills or personal development of employees learn to function in the role of a consultant in the organization, to think in terms of a system and to integrate the professional development processes into the applied IT solutions.

The authors of large projects (for example the numerous activities currently underway in Poland being carried out using EU funds) are appreciative as well of our support in drawing up basic principles regarding the subject matter and organizational issues for the projects, which are evaluated by monitoring the indicators provided by the Advisio tools (Synergia, Task Navigator, Competence Navigator, Delight Index).

Business institutions seeking points of reference for the intangible aspects of a business, such as the level of human potential, level of a business’s innovativeness and adaptability, quality of its organizational climate, or level of so-called "diversified leadership", will find allies in Advisio tools. Advisio’s development of methodologies and tools makes it possible to evaluate those elusive organizational aspects in a way that is not so much objective (because objectivity is a misleading concept in these areas) as intersubjective.

 

Advisio’s certification programs

Advisio methodologies and tools are made available to our certification programs. We have invited world class partners in this subject area to work with us to devise and create these programs, and these include UCLA Extension, the largest academic training organization in the USA, which operates as part of California University in Los Angeles, and Tavistock Consultancy Service – created out of the renowned Tavistock Clinic in London, an organizational consultancy center managed "below the surface", i.e. relating to those areas of organizational life that it is most difficult to put a name to, and measure, and on which the success or failure of change management processes in organizations depends.

Those who have completed one of the certification programs are given methodology handbooks, starter packs with licenses for Advisio tools, and access to the internet platform via which they can single-handedly manage organizational development processes worthy of the 21st century.

Developing consultants’ professional skills is a vital goal, but not the only goal of the certification programs that Advisio offers. The secondment of a consultant to take part in Advisio’s programs by a consultancy-training firm is synonymous with the term business2business, bringing about a truly synergic partnership. In a partnership of this kind Advisio fulfils the role of the tool and methodology powerbase for consulting firms and other business institutions. It trains the seconded consultants, gives them access to state-of-the-art internet tools, and provides marketing support.

This logo distinguishes consultancy firms and institutions which understand the challenges faced by organizations due to the modern and rapidly changing global – and at the same time atomized – internet economy.
